Henderson occupies the southeastern end of the valley, at an elevation of approximately 1,330 feet (410 m). The city contains more than 80 linear miles of trail, including the 8-mile McCullough Hills Trail. During the month of May, Henderson hosts the Discover Our Trails bicycle scavenger hunt.

In 2011, Forbes magazine ranked Henderson as America’s second safest city. Henderson has also been named as One of the Best Cities to Live in America by Bloomberg Businessweek. In 2014, Henderson was again ranked as one of the Top 10 “Safest Cities in the United States” by the FBI Uniform Crime Report. Henderson was ranked No. 66 in 2012 in CNN Money’s annual list of the 100 best small cities to live in.

Henderson neighborhoods have different unique features to offer, just 15 minutes from Hoover Dam and gourmet restaurants abound.
